"Zero day attacks are increasing and we see many targeted attacks. Malware is no longer written by enthusiasts who want to show they are better than others, but because profits from malware attacks is bigger than the sale of drugs worldwide. Due to the huge number of malware samples appearing on a daily basis, old-fashioned solutions are no longer applicable. There need to be a new approach to tackle this problem" says Zajac.
Chanawani shares about the purpose of the set up of regional office in Singapore and plans in Asia for the upcoming period.
"ESET is successfully expanding worldwide, growth rate is exponential and the increase of local presence in different markets etc, started with the expansion of the San Diego office in America, and later, the research and development centre in Poland, Czech Republic, and last but not least, headquarter in Asia Pacific region. ESET holds a channel distribution model and partners have requested us to get closer to the market by having local operation. The market needs established education program, marketing activities, andto provide quality of support and find new innovations in the Asia Pacific region" addedChanawani.
